Institutional clashes - (Part 2)

May be some friends and readers remember my post ‘Institutional clashes’. This post is the second part of that post. Media discussing a lot about collision of government and Supreme Court and both know public is with supreme court of Pakistan. As government does not want to open cases on SC’s order and taking breath from review petition in SC. PPP has a declining public popularity, which will effect PPP’s position in next election. Media got huge chance to shout on government about SC’s order implementation but I think people don’t remember the statement of PM Mr. Gilani that ‘How we can open cases on our president?’

Recently NRO’s rejection order of SC changed the political situation. Now government repeatedly needs to say that ‘We have excellent relations with Judiciary’. Why this statement came to hear again and again? This statement came because there is a high internal confrontation between government and judiciary.

Stability can be brought in Pakistan by fulfilling the commitments from government side. But government has a stand that president cannot leave the office due to cases because of presidential immunity that is given by the constitution of Pakistan. The example of our president’s situation is like a man who is in bullet proof glass box and firing is going on outside and at some time that man has to come out of the glass box and choose his new way to proceed.
